What this is

Comprehensive review for complex financial-record matters

StatementProof Advanced Review is the comprehensive review path for matters where the record set is larger, the questions are more layered, or the matter requires tracing across multiple accounts and time periods. Unlike Starter Review — which is designed for bounded, defined-scope matters — Advanced Review is built for matters that involve multiple accounts, extended date ranges, commingled funds, trust or estate tracing, divorce financial tracing, fraud-loss analysis, LIBR scheduling, multi-entity transaction review, or other matters that require a deeper workpaper build.

The output is reviewer-grade workpapers covering the full scope of the matter as defined at intake. If records are incomplete, gaps are documented; if tracing is partially supportable from the records, the workpaper notes what the records support and what they do not. The review does not invent balances, fill gaps from outside the records, or reach conclusions that the records do not support.

Starter vs Advanced

When the matter needs more than a Starter Review

Starter Review is for matters with a defined question, a manageable record set, and a bounded scope. Advanced Review is for matters that are larger, more complex, or require tracing work that goes beyond what a Starter-scope review can cover. A Starter Review sometimes reveals that the matter needs an Advanced Review — for example, when the initial review surfaces more accounts, longer date ranges, or tracing questions that require deeper workpaper coverage. Advanced Review includes all of the outputs available in a Starter Review plus the extended scope required by the matter.

Who this fits

Matters with larger scope or layered tracing needs

  • Attorneys handling trust, estate, divorce, fraud, or business disputes with multi-account financial records
  • Fiduciaries or beneficiaries needing full trust or estate accounting review
  • Business owners dealing with suspected fraud, partnership disputes, or multi-entity financial record questions
  • Individuals with complex marital-finance matters requiring tracing across multiple accounts and time periods
  • Investigators, auditors, or agency reviewers working through a larger financial-record matter
  • Matters that started as Starter Review and expanded in scope

Fit assessment

When Advanced Review fits — and when to consider alternatives

Good fit

  • Multiple accounts (four or more) or multi-entity matters
  • Extended date ranges (multiple years)
  • Layered tracing needs (source deposits, transfer flows, LIBR scheduling)
  • Trust, estate, divorce, or fraud matters requiring comprehensive workpaper coverage
  • Matters where a Starter Review revealed scope beyond the initial question
  • Matters requiring a fraud-loss summary or restitution-support schedule where records permit

Not a good fit

  • Matters that need a legal opinion, expert testimony, audit, or CPA attestation
  • Matters requiring emergency protective, law-enforcement, or regulatory response
  • Simple single-account matters with a narrow defined question (those fit Starter Review)

Matters requiring legal conclusions, expert testimony, audit opinions, or regulatory action need counsel, CPA, or other qualified professionals regardless of review depth.

What records are involved

Records that support an Advanced Review

  • Bank statements for all accounts in scope, covering the full relevant period
  • Transaction exports and check images
  • Wire and ACH records
  • Account-opening and account-closing records
  • Fiduciary accountings, trust records, or estate inventories
  • Business records: general ledger exports, vendor files, payroll records
  • Prior schedules, spreadsheets, or workpapers from counsel or CPA
  • Tax returns or financial statements where applicable
  • Records for related entities, owners, or counterparties
  • Insurance, billing, or reimbursement records where applicable
  • Any prior tracing analysis or workpaper identifying target funds
  • Known missing-record periods or prior production requests

What the review can produce

Workpaper-style outputs for complex matters

  • Source document index (all accounts and record sources)
  • Account and statement inventory with period coverage map
  • Missing-record list with follow-up paths
  • Full transaction chronology across all accounts in scope
  • Deposit and source issue list and source-deposit schedule
  • Transfer-flow summary with matched-transfer schedule
  • LIBR schedule where records support it
  • Fraud-loss or restitution-support schedule where records permit
  • Workpaper-style findings with methodology notes
  • Follow-up questions for client, counsel, fiduciary, CPA, records custodian, or counterparty
  • Recommendation whether the matter requires further escalation

How the work is performed

Process and deliverable format

Source documents are indexed across all accounts in scope. Period coverage is mapped and gaps are documented. Transactions are organized chronologically and by account. Tracing modules are applied as needed: source-deposit tracing, transfer-flow analysis, LIBR scheduling where applicable. Notable items are summarized. Open questions are listed with specific follow-up paths. Findings are presented in workpaper-style format organized for attorney, fiduciary, CPA, or reviewer use. The output is organized financial-record support — not a narrative investigation report, not a legal conclusion, not an audit opinion.

Methodology

Built on StatementProof workpapers

StatementProof is the structured workpaper system behind FinancialProofReview. Each engagement runs through the same disciplined process: source documents are indexed, transactions are reconciled, and findings are organized into reviewer-grade workpapers rather than narrative memos.

FinancialProofReview engagements are led by a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with subject-matter expertise in forensic accounting, fraud examination, and financial-record review. Reviews are conducted from a fraud-examination perspective and produce workpaper-style analysis, summaries, timelines, and issue lists. The work is financial-record review support, not legal advice, law-enforcement authority, charging decisions, or testimony.

The methodology is operated by HopkinsForensic, an independent forensic-accounting firm.

Start the review

Start with the records available

If the matter involves multiple accounts, extended date ranges, or layered tracing needs, the first step is an intake review to confirm scope and record availability.
